The traditional, family-run Hotel Promenade is namely – centrally located in Bad Steben – the perfect starting point for your activities in the Franconian Forest: from a relaxing stay in the most beautiful thermal spa in Bavaria to long walks and thrills in the Bad Steben casino.
19 double and 30 single rooms with shower or bath and partly with balcony are waiting for our guests. The comfortable modern furnishings also include cable TV, telephone and a safe.
Get energy for the day at the rich breakfast buffet in our newly renovated restaurant; half or full board is also available on request.
In addition, free hotel parking is available.

Weir Church St. Walburga
The fortified church „St. Walburga“ in Bad Steben is one of the oldest buildings in the Franconian Forest. This jewel from late Gothic times and is still used as a church on special occasions. Confession and the celebration of Holy Communion take place here on special dates, and a weekly end-of-week service is also held.
Luther Church Bad Steben
The Luther Church in Bad Steben Since October 9, 1910, the bell tower of the Protestant church, which is almost 44 meters high, has been ringing out from its central location in Bad Steben. To describe it with artificial terms is hardly possible. It is special in its architectural style and almost unique in its construction. For the 19th century, it was a technical marvel.
Humboldt House
The Humboldt House in Bad Steben. The great thinker stayed here from 1792 to 1796. The Humboldt House belongs to Marlies Milde, who also gives a short guided tour on request. Von Humboldt, the universal genius, set milestones in physics, chemistry and biology, astronomy, geology and cartography. Geophysics and plant geography became disciplines in their own right as a result of his work.
Graphic Museum
The „Graphic Museum Schreiner Foundation“ in Bad Steben in the Franconian Forest. Thanks to a significant donation from their rich collection, Mr. and Mrs. Schreiner have contributed to the fact that Bad Steben can now boast a very special museum. It is to their great credit that contemporary art from the „sealed-off“ part of Germany has become accessible to the general public.
Bad Steben City Hall
Through the conversion and expansion of a toy factory, the community came into possession of its own town hall in 1928. Today, the municipal administration is still housed in the beautiful building.
